We’re a dedicated team of local folks who share one main mission: to give our neighbors, families, and friends the very best dentistry while bringing our community closer together in personal, purposeful ways. Growing up just outside of Cookeville in the small town of Defeated, Tennessee, dentistry has always been close to Dr. Halliburton’s heart. He spent countless summers and after school hours at the local dental office tagging alongside his grandmother, a dental receptionist of more than 20 years. During his time in undergrad at Tennessee Tech University, he started shadowing a team of passionate dentists and fell in love with the fulfilling life that comes with caring for patients and their smiles.
Dr. Halliburton ran wholeheartedly toward his dream career and became a Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2017. Flash forward to today, and he couldn’t feel more blessed to co-own Hometown Family Dentistry with his long-time best friend, Dr. Matthew Whitson — they’ve known each other since babyhood and even graduated from the same dental school together! Dr. Halliburton is also the brains behind the Life and Dentistry Podcast, a platform where dental professionals can learn, grow, and encourage one another by sharing real conversations.
For Dr. Halliburton, the most rewarding part of his work is building sincere relationships with the families in his care. He strives to enrich the lives of his patients by delivering a thoughtful and refreshing dental experience that leads them to a lifetime of thriving smiles. He will always take the time to ensure you feel seen, heard, and valued as his patient.
In his free time, you can find Dr. Halliburton treasuring quality time with his family. He’s married to his wonderful wife, Samantha, and he’s a loving father to three precious kiddos. He’s also an outdoor enthusiast who loves to hike, fish, hunt, and enjoy Cookeville’s stunning scenery in all of the best ways!
